  1. Check SEARCH_OPTIMIZATION_HISTORY for the resource. Confirm SOS is consuming credits.
  2. Check QUERY_HISTORY for point-lookup queries against the table (eq/IN/range predicates on indexed columns).
  3. If no point-lookup pattern matches the optimization, drop: ALTER TABLE the resource DROP SEARCH OPTIMIZATION;.
  4. Alternative: scope to specific columns rather than the whole table (ALTER TABLE ... ADD SEARCH OPTIMIZATION ON SUBSTRING(col)) to cut maintenance + storage cost.
