- S3 Console → bucket the resource → Management → Create lifecycle rule.
- Rule scope: This rule applies to all objects in the bucket.
- Lifecycle rule actions → enable "Abort incomplete multipart uploads" → Number of days = 7.
- If the bucket uses versioning, also enable "Delete expired object delete markers" in the same rule.
- Save. AWS aborts in-flight orphans within 24h.
