Explain
Every finding says exactly what to change: Set a retention policy on GCS bucket.
Fix
The finding opens with the fix already written out, step by step, so it is one ticket, not an investigation.
- Applies to
- GCS Buckets on Google Cloud
- The fix, by hand
- Open Cloud Console → Cloud Storage → Buckets → the resource → Protection tab.
- Click EDIT RETENTION POLICY. Pick a duration that matches your governance policy.
- Optionally LOCK the policy to make it permanent. Locking is irreversible. Verify with compliance before locking.
These are the steps the finding carries in the product.
