Explain
Every finding says exactly what to change: Attach a snapshot schedule to Compute Engine VM.
Fix
The finding opens with the fix already written out, step by step, so it is one ticket, not an investigation.
- Applies to
- Compute Engine on Google Cloud
- The fix, by hand
- Open Cloud Console → Compute Engine → Snapshots → SCHEDULES tab.
- Click CREATE SCHEDULE. Pick region, frequency (daily / hourly), and retention.
- Open Compute Engine → VM instances → the resource → Edit → Additional disks → attach the schedule to each disk.
These are the steps the finding carries in the product.
