  2. Identify the consistent baseline spend across EC2 + Fargate + Lambda (steady 30-day floor).
  3. Decide term: 1-year No-Upfront is the safest first commit; 3-year All-Upfront has the deepest discount.
  4. Cost Explorer → Savings Plans → Purchase Savings Plans → enter the hourly commitment → confirm.
  5. Within 24h verify utilisation on the Cost Explorer SP utilisation report.
