AWS ap-east-1 is an opt-in region, so it must be enabled on an account before use. Azure’s East Asia region is in Hong Kong despite its broader name.
Scheduling on local time
Hong Kong uses Asia/Hong_Kong, with no daylight saving time, the same offset as Singapore. Teams in the two cities can share a schedule.
