Right-size OpenShift and see who uses your Copilot seats.
OpenShift rightsizing, an improved approval flow, and a clearer Copilot seats page
Self-managed OpenShift clusters now get rightsizing recommendations. Approval requests can now be sent and managed from your AI assistant, while approving and rejecting stay with people in the app. The Copilot seats page also shows who uses the seats you pay for and which ones you can reclaim.
What's in this release
- New ZopNight: self-managed OpenShift clusters now get rightsizing recommendations for CPU and memory requests and limits, tight memory limits, CPU throttling and autoscaling settings. They open and close on their own after each discovery and show the measured values behind them, in units rather than dollars
- New ZopDay: choose a Free, Starter or Pro plan in Settings → Plan, paid monthly or yearly in USD, or in INR with GST. Upgrades start right away with credit for unused days, and downgrades take effect when the paid term ends. Admins assign developer seats, and anyone beyond the seats bought is shown as Waiting. Plan limits and seat checks are being switched on in stages
- Improved ZopNight: through the ZopNight MCP server, your AI assistant can now send recommendations for approval, add comments, resend or withdraw a request, and manage approval policies. Approving and rejecting still happen in the app, by people. Only admins can see who the approvers are, approval emails and chat messages now name the item, and reminders stop after 14 days
- Improved ZopNight: the Copilot seats page now shows how well your seats are used and which ones you can reclaim. Seats that need attention come first, and selecting a person shows what their seat costs and which apps they use. If Microsoft does not report someone's usage, the seat says Not reported instead of showing zero
- Improved ZopNight: you can now extend an active override from the new Extend button on the Overrides page, without cancelling it. The resource stays as it is and no cleared or set notifications go out. Group overrides move together, and an override with less than 6 minutes left cannot be extended
