- Audit application config / Secrets Manager / Lambda env vars for the cluster endpoint.
- Open ElastiCache → select cluster → Actions → Delete.
- For Redis: 'Create final backup' = Yes (recommended).
- Validate billing impact 24h later in Cost Explorer.
