- Open the resource under Azure AI services (formerly Cognitive Services; the canonical tile in 2025 is Azure AI services).
- Resource → Monitoring → Metrics → review TotalCalls / SuccessfulCalls over the last 14 to 30 days.
- If the resource is on a paid tier (S0+) with negligible traffic, switch to Free (F0) under Resource Management → Pricing tier where the SKU allows.
- If unused entirely, Resource → Delete; confirm by typing the resource name.
- Audit any application code / Key Vault secrets for the endpoint and rotate dependent apps off it before deletion.
