Explain
Every finding says exactly what to change: Attach a scaling policy to Auto Scaling group.
Fix
The finding opens with the fix already written out, step by step, so it is one ticket, not an investigation.
- Applies to
- Auto Scaling Groups on AWS
- The fix, by hand
- Open the EC2 Auto Scaling console and select the ASG.
- Go to Automatic scaling tab.
- Create a Target Tracking scaling policy (recommended) targeting 70% CPU utilisation.
- Alternatively, create a Step Scaling policy with CloudWatch alarms.
- Verify the policy is active and monitor scaling events.
These are the steps the finding carries in the product.
- Category
