Reserved Instance

A cloud commitment for a specific instance family and type bought on a 1 to 3 year term, saving roughly 30 to 40 percent below on-demand at the low end (1-year, no-upfront) and up to about 60 to 72 percent for 3-year, all-upfront terms, suited to very stable workloads whose instance type will not change.
