Postmortem
A postmortem is a written record of an incident, its root cause, and the action items that prevent recurrence. For cost incidents, postmortems follow the same structure as production incident postmortems with cost-specific content. The goal is organizational learning, making the team smarter so similar incidents are caught earlier or prevented entirely.
