AWS af-south-1 and Azure South Africa West both run in Cape Town. Google Cloud’s South African region is in Johannesburg.
af-south-1 is an opt-in region: it must be enabled on an AWS account before anything can run there. Teams in Nigeria and Kenya, which have no local region, may use it too, so one Cape Town account can hold environments for people on several clocks. Schedule each by its users’ time zone.
