Numerator
The denominator (M4.3.L1) tells you what unit of value you are dividing by. The numerator is the dollar amount in the cost-per-unit calculation, and which dollars to include matters a lot. Different numerator definitions produce wildly different cost-per-MAU numbers from the same cloud bill.
